Make it; DIY Present; Bake-it Bag

So today I thought I'd upload a fun/cheap gift idea that I plan to use this mothers day but would be great for any baker. Essentially it involves putting the dry ingredients of a recipe into a cute bag. Here are my tips and tricks.

Step One: buy or make a cute pull-string bag. I made this simple one in about 5 minutes, I thought it might be a bit easy to explain in this blog but please let me know if you'd like to know how to make one and I'll type up a tutorial.

Step two: find a recipe that you think your recipient would like to bake. Things like cakes, cookies and biscuits are good because they're simple and have a lot of dry ingredients so it leaves your gift-ee with less they have to find. Also make sure that the recipe allows for all the dry ingredients to be mixed up at once

For this Bake-it Bag I'm choosing Choc-Fudge Brownies and I'll include the ingredients and recipe as we go!

So you'll need to mix all the dry ingredients up in a bowl, before you put it in the bag.
For this recipe that means
2 cups caster sugar
1 cup cocoa
1 cup plain flour
1 cup chocolate chips

Step three: I find it best to put all of the ingredients in a plastic bag. This helps with keeping things fresh and tidy through transport and storage.

Step four: cover up that ugly plastic bag with your cute pull-string bag.

Step five: write and attach the remaining ingredients and instructions on a card. I usually add the ingredients in the method to make it shorter and cuter but you can do it either way.
