Make it; Paired Brooches

So a few years ago my good friend Claudia gave me a cute brooch that consisted of two pins with a chain in the middle connecting a tea pot and a tea cup, and ever since I've wanted to make my own. So here's my little take on this cute accessory.

What you'll need...
(I didn't have most of these things in my house when I started but on one of my trips to Spotlight I found it all pretty cheap - and it's stuff that always comes in handy with craft projects)

I also forgot to put it in the pic, but a hot glue gun or a needle and thread are also needed!

I've chosen to use pendants and bows but you can use buttons or any small object really.

So to make your brooch you'll need two brooch-backs, a pendant and a bow.
Then you'll need two jump rings (not essential but they make your life a lot easier)
and two (or one or three :p) different chains.

First up you'll want to grab your pliers and use a jump ring to attach your chains to your pendant. I've made the chain that will be on the bottom about 1cm longer so that it will hang lower and not get all caught up.

Then attach the other end of the chains to your other jump ring.

Then attach the 2nd jump ring that you've just used to your a brooch-back.

Stick or sew your bow to the brooch back

and stick or sew the other brooch-back on the pendant

And your finished product should look something like this...

or this...

Please let me know what you think or if you have any other ideas and please send me pictures if you've tried this out - I'd love to see what other variations people come up with!
